Giving Back: Summer Food Drive

Every year our entire team gathers together in the summer to celebrate the season and reward our employees for their hard work throughout the year. It’s always refreshing to have a little fun outside the office and focus on employee bonding. Our employees have always looked forward to this time to come together to collaborate, laugh, and mingle with one another.
This year was our first summer gathering that included both the Compass Insurance team as well as the IB Insurance team. We’re so fortunate to have a team that blends so well. As you know, 2020 presented so many challenges and it was rejuvenating to have the team meet face to face for the first time.
Knowing the entire team was coming together, we thought we would start a new summer tradition. One where it wasn’t just about us, but about you, our community. We came up with the idea of hosting a food drive at our gathering. It’s safe to say the food drive was a success! Our employees jumped at the opportunity to support this effort. It was one of those moments where we thought to ourselves, “Why haven’t we done this sooner?”.
We coordinated with The Salvation Army in Stevens Point, WI, regarding the items they needed. By the time our staff gathered all the items, we had an SUV stuffed full of donations. It took little effort individually from everyone to create a big impact collectively. This is such a beautiful concept. Together, we can make a difference. Compass Insurance has always valued our community and we want to continue to do our part to help. We’re so grateful to have a team that shares the same values. We can’t wait to make this an annual tradition and scale our efforts each year.
